CONTAINER DESIGN

Accessorize your garden with annual flower containers to punctuate all 4 seasons. Annual flowers offer an abundance of design creativity and can be cheerful during times when perennial flowers are in transition.

Container design is a great way to highlight an entrance, accentuate an angle or redirect foot traffic. With regular care your containers can last a whole season!

An alternative perspective on containers is creating a Perennial Pot. This arrangement is comprised only of native plants that will last for a few years before needing repotting. Please contact Planted Green to discuss the perfect Perennial Pot for your space.

Spring

The arrival of spring exudes a glorious theme of awakening and potential. Spring containers showcase the delicate flowers that thrive in cooler temperatures with growing light. All spring containers are accented with branches well suited for your site’s conditions such as the color of your home, the size of the pot and spatial arrangement.

Summer

An explosion of life can take place in any size garden container. Summer is a time to exalt in the diversity of plants with the drama and color summer plants contain. These containers truly let the plants do the talking with no additional accents or branches.

Autumn

Autumn offers a wide range of hearty brassicas, grasses and blooms to mark the turning of the seasons. Additional dried seed pods, accents and branches are included for Autumn designs.

Winter

Spanning November to March, winter containers invite levity and cheer during the long Chicagoland winter. Evergreens and accents can create a vivid anchor to your doorstep or open spaces for winter interest. With careful consideration for each, client containers can take on a holiday celebration or an overall natural wintery theme.

Unlike the other 3 seasons, winter containers are built in the studio and delivered to your containers as a complete piece.

Alternatively, winter arrangements may be ordered to come delivered in their own free-standing biodegradable pot.

Planted Green will make a brief visit to assess your containers and provide a quote for your container build out. This insures light conditions and measurements are correct. Planted Green will design specific containers for your site in our studio. Containers are then built directly on-site, excluding winter as noted above.

Access to your property and spigot is required on the day of the build out. If you do not possess a green thumb, additional tending to the containers throughout the season is available for an additional fee.

Border Matching

Additional border plants may be added upon request to coordinate with containers for a cohesive look and non-stop color.
